Beyonce 'Run the World' vs Dizzee Rascal 'Dreams'

Beyonce's video 'Run the World' is morally based around women's true power within society in a post  apocalyptic world through the lyrics and the images and their representations within the video as well. Her video could also be seen as her own viewpoints and beliefs in women around the world and how the world may be seen as a 'mans red' but in truth it's the women who truly make it function and stop it from falling apart. whereas Dizzy Rascal's 'Dream' is based on in some ways showcasing his life and others life around him via his neighbourhood or Britain in general furthermore bringing the issues following certain ethnicity and cultural stereotypes on others backgrounds also following up on genders momentarily going against certain stereotypes regarding genders and ethnicity.

Within Beyonce's video there are a variety of imagery that symbolises the power women adhere within themselves such as the lion which is morally placed as the king of the animals due to its brute power and leadership qualities furthermore there was a women riding a horse which also shows women as superior and again a powerful force. Within the video it establishes that women and men are at some sort of war in which may be due to inequality between the two genders there is also anther point in which most of the women are of a darked skin which also applies another enforcement of inequality.
That Beyonce wants to tackle. Thus the women in a group represents them as a strong willed community.

Within Dizzee Rascals video the opening scene shows a white middle- upper class traditional women which can bring up the idea of race within the video. The video then zooms into Dizzee and himself seen as a puppet until other puppets start to appear with strings attached to them unlike Dizzee which shows Dizzee has more freedom compared to the other puppets another point is that most of the puppets were of a darker skin colour like Dizzee and they basically joined Dizzee in showing us the audience his life and the events happening within it.
